    Weird Habits/Things...
    1. I never completely finish a beer; in a bottle, can, pilsner, whatever. There's always a small spill left when I consider it "done."

    2. I always set the temperature control in my truck at lowest or highest. It's as if there's no adjustment there and I'm constantly opening the windows to adjust the temperature inside. I know.... strange.

    3. I always sleep clothed. Ya know... in case of a fire, I don't want to have to get dressed while my house is burning.

    4. When stepping into a dark room I always reach inside for the lightswitch first... a carryover from childhood and being scared of the dark, I guess.

    5. I will never eat the heels on a loaf of bread. They're the DEVIL!

    6. I never sit on urinals... that's not what they're for.

I think I just pissed my self that was some crazy ass shit

    this is scary

    lets see if it works....

I am taking the bait -
what do I have to lose right?

    Hope it works!

    Supposedly The Phone Will Ring
    Right After You Do This.

Just read the little stories and
think of a wish as you scroll all
the way to the bottom. There is
a message there - then make your
    wish.

    No attachment on this one.

    Stories

    I'm 13 years old, and I wished
that my dad would come home from
the army, because he'd been having
problems with his heart and right
    leg. It was 2:53 p.m . When I made
    my wish. At 3:07 p.m. (14 minutes
    later), the doorbell rang, and
there my Dad was, luggage and all!!

    I'm Katie and I'm 20 and I've been
having trouble in my job and on the
verge of quitting. I made a simple
wish that my boss would get a new
job. That was at 1:35 and at 2:55
there was an announcement that he
was promoted and was leaving for
    another city. Believe me...this
    really works!!!

My name is Ann and I am 45 years
of age. I had always been single
and had been hoping to get into a
    nice, loving relationship for many
    years. While kind of daydreaming
(and right after receiving this email)
I wished that a quality person would
finally come into my life. That was at
9:10 AM on a Tuesday. At 9:55 AM
a FedEx delivery man came into my
    office.He was cute, polite and
could not stop smiling at me. He
    started coming back almost everyday
(even without packages) and asked me
out a week later. We married 6
months later and now have been
    happily married for 2 years.

What a great email it was!!

Just scroll down to the end, but
while you do, think of a wish.
Make your wish when you have completed
scrolling. Whatever age you are, is the
number of minutes it will take for your
wish to come true. ex.you are 25 years
old, it will take 25 minutes for your wish
    to come true).

However, if you don't send this to
people in 5 minutes, you will have bad
    luck for years!!

    Go for it!!!

    SCROLL DOWN!!!!

    Been a while!
This is something I thought I'd have more time to devote to! Being the Hunt-and-Peck typist I am can make something like this take a while to accomplish!

I've been working, as always, and putting all my spare time into both of my bands. Tomorrow, my Bluegrass band BlueRoots, is recording our demo CD. This means getting up early to drive to South Jersey to rehearse at the bass player's house. Then it's off to the studio where money will be spent and we hopefully come out with a decent sounding CD to offer potential band employers. This is something I'm TERRIFIED of! I can play live all day long and be really into it. If a mistake is made, keep on truckin'! In the studio, everything's gotta be just about perfect. Another thing, you've got to learn the parts you just recorded. In other words, this music is so improvisational and I almost never play the same break twice. Once this is recorded, I've got to listen to these tunes and re-learn what I put on these tracks so the same thing will be heard live. That's the tough part, for me. I dunno... maybe I'm just whining. I'm actually thrilled to be doing this and this is the best band I've ever played in.

I broke down... again... I'm getting another dobro built. This one will be made locally by a dear friend whose wares I've had the pleasure of test driving before. I've already got the colors picked out and the the hardware arrived today. I opted for resolution (black) chrome over standard chrome. This one will be a beauty, for sure.

In other news... Valentine's Day, or VD as the FN puts it, was just about non-existent. That's the way I like it sometimes. My sweet neighbor put a scented candle on a chair in my front porch for me. I noticed it when I came home from band practice late Monday night. Some of you saw me with a girl at Winterfest... hmm... she's great; we didn't work out. Turns out there are differences in expectations. We remain friends and now have an understanding.

In other female news, I went to the dentist last week for a routine exam, cleaning, lecture about bad habits, etc. All went very well. On my way home, the cell phone rings with a number I barely recognize. I answered it and the person asked for me by name. I said "yes?" The girl says she's calling from the dentist's office and mentions her colleague is curious if I'm dating anyone!!!!! I replied "WOW!" That's really taking a chance! I answered "No, I'm not." and thought about how respectable doing something like that can be in this day and age. I said that my number's there, if she wants to call me. After I hung up the phone, I started thinking... Isn't that illegal? True, the girl that called me wasn't the one interested in me, but nonetheless. Oh well. I'm not upset about this, I just thought it was odd. At the same time, I was flattered. I haven't heard anything since that day, but I have to go back there in April.

OK... enough about my pathetic dating life. Anyone who may be interested, I heard some info on the Airshow at my base this year. The Thursday night before the show starts, there will be a free concert featuring The Doobie Brothers (WHOA!) Last year, we had Lonestar. Headlining the airshow will be the USAF Thunderbirds. I live very close to there, if anyone wants to come. I'll have more info later. I believe the dates are the latter part of May.

    Home Again
Well, Well. Another great holiday season and eventful year is behind us. Another year of who knows what is ahead of us.

This weekend was truly something to remember. This was my first GB house party and let me tell ya'll... it's an experience like no other. From meeting new people, to jamming in a moving RV (in weather more suited for snow-machining!) to jamming slow pretty numbers in the living room while nursing a hangover, this was a wonderful time.

It was great to see everyone and even better to see everyone cleaned up so nicely! (hubba hubba!)

Looking forward to the future and making new friends. (Here's my toast!) Enjoy!

    What a weekend!
    Let's see:

Friday, I went to work and helped prep the food for the party. Around 10:30 we all went over to Headquarters for our meeting. When we returned, we were released for our party. We all had a wonderful lunch that everyone contributed to, and the beer began to disappear. That was the last I recall of my sanity that day.

Later on that evening, we celebrated like there was no tomorrow. Combining the Holiday party and my recent promotion was a bad judgment call on my part! Let's just say I made it to a friend's house to sleep it off. I remember riding in the back seat of my own truck. When I woke up yesterday morning staring at an unfamiliar ceiling, I glanced around and quickly realized where I was. I panicked for a little bit because I was concerned I may have driven while polluted. Bob came downstairs and told me that Tony drove my truck and dropped us off at his house. From there, I have no idea where my truck is.

Long story short, I found my truck back at the base with the keys still in it, exactly where I parked it on Friday morning. Eerie? or do I just have some friends that really look out for me? I think it's the latter.

Consequently, I had to delete any plans for Saturday as I slept it off... all day. My goodness, what's happened to me? haha!

Can't wait to see everyone on New Year's! Bring your formal-wear!

    Ok,

In spite of the nasty weather that has hit here... the rain and snow (song?) and now the impending icy roads, today was in fact a great day. I was called to the front of the room with my First Sergeant, Flight Chiefs, and co workers watching. My First Sergeant pinned my new rank of Technical Sergeant on my sleeves. This goes to show that with a little work and determination, things really do happen if the right people are watching. I'm eternally thankful for this and look forward to the future, though it's uncertain right now.

We're having our Christmas party tomorrow. Imagine this... a bunch of military aircraft mechanics with no work to do for a day, plenty of good food, beer and booze, and a common bond. What will this lead to? Who knows! It's identical to a Grillbillie function, minus the music! Life is good... I get to have the best of both worlds for at least a day. By the way, I just made ten pounds of mashed potatoes for this friggin' party. They'd better get eaten. I also have the responsibility of acquiring at least two cases of beer since I got a stripe! OOH RAH!

note to self... get a haircut tomorrow, ya hippie!

    What a day!
We've been working night shift all week. I've had little time to do anything but work, as is the case quite often anymore.

I can't believe Richard Pryor is gone. It's amazing the attention someone gets when they're gone. Like so many well known people before, or even people we knew in our lives. A celebrity, or otherwise notorious person passes away and suddenly there's a huge emphasis placed on that person. Richard Pryor is an example. Where was all the attention when the man had his illness? Or how about Johnny Cash before he passed away? Peter Jennings? Johnny Carson? Ronald Reagan? I could go on and on. I guess I'm just noticing that these people were never paid attention to once they were out of the spotlight and the public eye. Once they pass away, suddenly, the media mourns the loss. It's strange.

One thing remains with me. The people in my life that I've lost, I'll always remember. In conversation with people close to me I'll bring their name up in fond memory or with good humor. The people that matter most live on forever in my mind, and are never not thought about.

    This is something new
How's it going, everyone? This is my first attempt to do something like this, so let's see how it works.

It's Saturday morning, very cold, snowy, etc. and I'm killing time before I gotta go to work. I'm listening to the neighbor go up and down the stairs (our houses are connected.) I swear there is not an ounce of insulation in this house. I can hear everything that happens in that house, especially that hairy ball of shit they call a dog. I guess I'll have to keep in mind they can hear everything over here! hehe.

I wish I was at the St. Patty's party at F&Ls this weekend. Once again, being a part of the world's finest has kept me in the confines of a uniform. Sometimes I'm not sure why I keep doing this... then I look at the finished product and say to myself "Wow, I made that happen." It's fulfilling.
